Basic gardening tip for healthy hydrangeas

Quick! It's time to cover up your hydrangeas if you live in a harsh, hot climate.  They are a beautiful plant, but don't like hot summer sun, like we have in Australia.

Simple answer, as you can see in the picture, cover up and you will be rewarded with lots of lovely blooms.  In the past I have used shade cloth, but now prefer the bamboo as it looks nicer, the choice is yours, just do it and your hydrangeas will thank you for it.   There are just so many products available you are spoiled for choice so don't wait get shading.

Take down as soon as weather cools, that's when the fun starts again, with pruning and feeding.

Happy gardening
