Basic gardening tip for new garden beds, out with the old and in with new, let's rejuvenating

I have been looking at an old tree in the garden for the past 4 years, going back and forth as to cut it out or leave it in.  I have a real dilemma when it comes to taking out healthy plants, but as it was getting too large and limbs kept falling off, which was dangerous, I finally took action and out it came.  The result left an area of about 3m x 3m, so it was quite a large plant and left a new garden bed ripe for rejuvenating.

So what do we do to rejuvenate the soil.  I left it just sit for a month to let the soil breath and then we started laying.  Laying I can here you say what's that, it is the bases I believe for good soil.

Combine compost, manure, new soil and mulch, we use mushroom compost, blended cow manure, organic garden soil and sugar cane mulch.  There are many varieties of these products so if you can't get them or prefer a different one go for it, it really doesn't matter so long as you use the basic mix.

So start by spreading the compost, then over that the soil, then manure, and finally mulch.  Continue layering to the depth required.

Compost
Manure
Soil
Mulch

Depend on what you are rejuvenating ie boxes or garden beds, as to how much you will need.  I'll let mine settle for a week or two before planting out, just in case it drops down and needs more mix.

Happy gardening
