Basic gardening tip for your dog and grass seeds

Dogs love exploring the garden and if they are like my dog Oscar he is in to everything.  This week we created a new garden bed using manure, compost, mulch and organic soil. Oscar raced in and started digging and rolling in the smelly mix to his hearts content.

Great fun for enriching their lives but can have its down side, besides the smell, so we always wash and check him over after these types of events.  Ears especially should be check as they can get grass seeds in them, which can become very sore.  You should know if your dog has an ear problem as the ear smells, we use an ear wash from the vet regularly to keep Oscars ears healthy.

Oscar is not always happy about having a bath, but loves the play afterwards as he gets rewards while we try to dry him.
